The Diary of a Young Girl

The Diary of a Young Girl - B.M. Mooyaart, Eleanor Roosevelt, Anne Frank A definite must read. Anne Frank was a writer of real talent and always wrote as if for an audience. She also lived up to her last name in that the diary is very frank (I read the definitive edition). It documents the transformation of a child into a teenager against a background of horror and the readers knowledge that she will not survive the camps.

Excellent book. So good you almost believe it is an established author imitating a young girl.
