This is a classic Asimov and the second in his Robot series. It is about a human cop who has to partner with a robot to solve a murder.
I'm not entirely sure why I read it. It's probably the first use of this plot line and it is entertaining and all that. But really I find Asimov's Science-Fiction goofy, but without the redeeming qualities of a Smith or a Burroughs. Its all silly and work-a-day written. The characters don't really exist of course. I'm fundamentally unclear on why Asimov is considered one of the greats of Science-Fiction.
Light weight, 1950s, moderately entertaining and harmless fluff.
