Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - Hunter S. Thompson, Ralph Steadman A very funny book that purports to be a true story. Chronicling a week in Las Vegas spent by Hunter S. Thompson and his Attorney on a drug fueled binge of misadventures. It's hard to believe that it is all true, for the simple fact, that its hard to believe that they could have actually managed to stay out of jail which is a constant threat.

The book is very funny and captures the moment where the the drug culture had moved from the optimism about drugs of the 1960s to a more realistic view of what that kind of drug use actually entails. Its entertaining and funny. I'm not sure that it amounts to a great deal, but its well worth reading.

The ultimate going out of control in Vegas story.
